Let’s fill up the sidelines! Steel Hands Brewing will host its first Training Camp event welcoming former College Football athletes for an entertaining evening of live football competitions benefitting Camp Cole. Players from both the University of South Carolina and Clemson University have committed and will compete as Teams at Steel Hands Training Camp this Saturday, July 17th at 5:00 pm. The Gamecocks Alumni include: Perry Orth, Stephen Garcia, Ryan Brewer, Brian Elam and Jonathan Martin. The Tigers Alumni include: Reggie Merriweather, David Dunham, Kyle Browning, Durrell Barry and Ryan Hemby. Each team of five players will face off in a series of competitions to see who will have the best “Steel Hands”!
Steel Hands Brewing encourages fans to come out to this free event and support Camp Cole while enjoying an evening of entertaining competitions, opportunities to meet the players and sign autographs, plus live music from Nashville Singer/Songwriter and recording artist, JB Strauss. Steel Hands Brewing will be donating 70% of the craft beer pint sales from 5:00 until 8:00 pm to Camp Cole and its mission to create “A Place to Shine” for children, teens and adults facing serious illnesses and other health or life challenges.
In addition to Training Camp, Steel Hands has invited the former College Football athletes to appear in a promotional video campaign that will focus on community over competition – we all love competition, but craft beer unites our community. The “Train-Hard, Craft-Together” campaign will be released leading up to the 2021 College Football Season in August.

Taproom Opens at NOON! *Recommend Fans to arrive early to claim their spot in our outdoor beer gardens.
100-400PM: Live Music from Dave Love & Charles Riley from our stage
500-630PM: Competitions Begin!
Speed Drill: each player will have the opportunity to test their speed & agility, but ultimately this is a Team competition. This is timed and includes a forward step ladder drill combined with cones where you have to knock off one of our 12oz cans at each cone. Players will be timed 2x. The fastest average team time, wins the points.
Football Pass: each player will have the opportunity to throw 5 passes to hit a hole in our inflatable football target. Each pass made = 1 point for your team.
*Half-Time* – Hear from our friends at Camp Cole!
Keg Toss: each player gets a shot at tossing an empty half barrel as far as they can. The Team with the single longest throw, wins the points!
Relay Race: This is a timed Team event. Each team member will be responsible for a leg in the relay race. Fastest overall Team time wins!

700PM: Meet & Greet with Football Players + sign autographs
730PM: Live Music from Nashville Singer/Songwriter and recording artist, JB Strauss
